"Greenfield Agro Tech" has been working rigorously towards 'Green Revolution', where harmful elements which causes serious threats to our nature are being eliminated in an efficient way. One such element that is causing a big challenge to the environment is 'PLASTIC'.

Today a lot of sincere efforts are being made to overcome this problem all across the Globe. India too has joined hands with great enthusiasm to eventually slowly and gradually eliminate the use of plastic, specifically 'single-use' plastic products, such as carry bags, garment bags, grocery bags etc. We at Greenfield Agro Tech are trying to be a part of this green initiative, and are contributing our best towards this cause since last three years. The most effective and feasible solution to this problem created by plastic products is - Bio Compostable Products.

Bio Compostable or compostable products are becoming the most efficient way of replacing conventional plastic to save the environment. Bio-compostable products are basically those products which undergoes degradation by biological processes during composting to yield Co2, Water and biomass without leaving any toxic residue.

Compostable products are made from the compound which contains PLA/PBAT as the raw material for the manufacturing of compostable products. Both of these components comes in the form of granules which are eventually used as the raw material, for making compostable products.

PLA (polylactic acid) is typically made from the sugars in corn starch, cassava or sugarcane. It is biodegradable, carbon-neutral and edible. To transform corn into plastic, corn kernels are immersed in sulfur dioxide and hot water, where its components break down into starch, protein, and fiber.

PBAT (polybutylene adipate terephthalate) is a fully biodegradable polymer. When buried in real soil environments, it breaks down completely and leaves no toxic residues behind. It was developed to solve environmental pollution caused by recycling conventional plastics.
